This weekend we were scouring the ICFF show in order to bring our clients the latest and greatest in contemporary design. While I’ll bring you a complete run down of our faves, I thought I’d first share the 2010 ICFF Editors Awards with you, which were bestowed in 16 categories.
In response to a drop in attendance, and a lingering recession, the intellectual focus of the Show has swung away from producing tangible things, like furniture, toward the abstract process of applying design thinking to ethical issues, such as social, environmental or humanitarian problems.
This weekend, the International Contemporary Furniture Fair once again comes to the Jacob Javits Center here in NYC. With more than 550 exhibitors displaying contemporary furniture, seating, carpet and flooring, lighting, outdoor furniture, materials, wall coverings, accessories, textiles, and kitchen and bath for residential and commercial interiors, the show can be daunting.
